1. Who we are

AskTzu is operated by Ting Zhang as an independent developer. Our Merchant of Record is Paddle (Paddle.com Market Ltd), which handles payments, tax, invoices, and refunds on our behalf. Charges on your statement may appear under "PADDLE.NET* ASKTZU".

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.

3. What the Service is — and is not

The Service is a decision-support and educational tool. It combines classical wisdom traditions, modern decision-making methods, and your own recorded context to help you think through choices. The Service is not professional advice. It is not medical, psychological, legal, financial, or tax advice, and it does not provide therapy or counseling. 4. AI-generated content

Guidance is generated by artificial intelligence and may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for your situation. Always apply your own judgment and consult qualified professionals for matters with medical, legal, or financial consequences.

5. Accounts

Accounts use passwordless email sign-in links. You are responsible for keeping access to your email secure and for all activity under your account. One account per person.

6. Subscription plans and billing

• Free tier: 3 in-depth consultations, no card required.
• Monthly plan: $9.99 per month.
• Annual plan: $49.99 per year (introductory first-year price may be offered at $29.99).
• Payments, VAT/sales tax, invoices, and refunds are processed by Paddle as Merchant of Record.
• Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel any time from your account or by emailing support@asktzu.com; cancellation stops future renewals and takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• Refunds: within 14 days of your first payment you may request a full refund by emailing support@asktzu.com. Renewal charges made within the previous 14 days may also be refunded at our discretion. EU/UK statutory withdrawal rights apply.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Service to harm yourself or others;
• seek or generate instructions for violence, self-harm, or illegal acts;
• misrepresent the AI as a licensed professional;
• scrape, reverse-engineer, or resell the Service;
• upload others' personal data without their permission;
• use the Service if you are under 18.

We may suspend accounts that violate these rules. If you encounter harmful content, report it to support@asktzu.com — we review every report.

8. Your content

Your recorded decisions and conversations belong to you. You grant us a limited license to process them solely to operate and improve the Service. You can export or delete them at any time (see our Privacy Policy).

9. Intellectual property

The Service's content, principle cards, prompts, brand, and software are owned by the operator of AskTzu. Classical source texts quoted in the Service are in the public domain; attributions are provided in good faith. Modern methods are referenced by attribution, not reproduction.

10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that guidance will be correct, complete, or fit for your purpose, and we make no promise about the outcomes of your decisions — only about the quality of the decision process. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts for violation of these Terms, with notice where practicable.

12. Changes

We may update the Service and these Terms. Material changes will be notified at least 14 days in advance; continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the operator's country of residence, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
